About us

The W III Foundation is a private family foundation that was created in 2019. It aims to provide impactful contributions and support to local nonprofit organizations. Our focus as a foundation is broad, we have been fortunate enough to give to quite a variety of grantees over the past couple of years even though we are such a young foundation. Our grantees include cancer research, veteran programs, cystic fibrosis research, affordable house projects, hospitals housing care, food banks, animal shelters, and the list only continues to grow as time goes on. 

Our overall goal is to make the absolute greatest impact we possibly can for the charities we donate to. We don't just want to give money for the sake of it, we personally reach out to all of our  grantees and ask them what they need from us. It could be as simple as giving to a milestone campaign or more involved like paying for a new employee/researcher that needs to be brought on for our continued support of a cancer research study we have going in Kentucky. But overall, while it is difficult to accurately gauge impact, we do our best by talking with the grantees and our board to discuss how things are going and what can be improved year after year.
